The Ionian Village Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all camp documents and office programming are created and communicated accurately. The Program Coordinator owns all the documents, lists, finances, schedules, and information moving in and out of the office between the Admin team and the cabin Staff.

Working as the Program Coordinator for Ionian Village should not be viewed as a vacation. You will be expected to work a 24-hour day, 7 days a week while camp is in session. The Program Coordinator works behind the scenes to make sure the camp runs smoothly and provides a high-level experience for the campers of Ionian Village. While demanding, it is an extremely rewarding experience.
This position receives a stipend upon the completion of the summer and also includes round-trip airfare from JFK Airport in New York to Greece and full room and board while you are working during the camp sessions. Travel to New York is at your own expense. Any personal shopping while camp is in session is at your own expense. You are responsible for your own travel, lodging, and meals during the three-day break in between sessions.
Program Coordinator responsibilities at Ionian Village include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in training conference calls before the summer, and thoroughly read camp manuals
- Ownership of the camp’s schedules for Admin, Staff, and campers, and the Greek staff
- Creating, editing, and delivering written communication
- Maintaining and organizing the Ionian Village office, including physical and digital records
- Overseeing the editing and adjusting of files and documents as the program continually adapts throughout the summer
- Supporting the cabin Staff and Admin in the execution of daily camp activities
- Document and manage the camp finances for the summer period
- Support the Staff with the preparation and execution of camper Arrival and Departure days and all travel days
- Respecting and trusting in the camp experience, while being an asset and an advocate for the program to assist the campers in having the best possible experience.

- Excel under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exercise extreme care in all interpersonal relationships involving staff members and campers
- Must possess the ability to work independently behind the scenes
