The Ionian Village Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all logistical systems are in place, as well as keeping track of all the logistical duties. All admin and summer staff rely on them to create and maintain professional, smooth, and well-organized environments at camp.

- Previous Ionian Village experience is desired but not mandatory
Working as the Logistics Coordinator for Ionian Village should not be viewed as a vacation. You will be expected to work a 24-hour day, 7 days a week while camp is in session. The Logistics Coordinator works behind the scenes to make sure the camp runs smoothly and provides a high-level experience for the campers of Ionian Village. While demanding, it is an extremely rewarding experience.
This position receives a stipend upon the completion of the summer and also includes round-trip airfare from JFK Airport in New York to Greece and full room and board while you are working during the camp sessions. Travel to New York is at your own expense. Any personal shopping while camp is in session is at your own expense. You are responsible for your own travel, lodging, and meals during the three-day break in between sessions.
Logistics Coordinator responsibilities at Ionian Village include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in training conference calls before the summer, and thoroughly read camp manuals
- Ownership of the camp’s supplies (unpacking, organizing, maintaining)
- Preparing for camp all-activities with set-up and break down (Free Swim, Daily and Evening Activities)
- Documenting and maintaining inventories both pre-camp and post-camp
- Supporting the cabin Staff and Admin in the execution of daily camp activities
- Ring the bells at camp to coordinate the camp’s movements
- Support the Staff with the preparation and execution of camper Arrival and Departure days
- Maintaining and operating the camp’s storage facilities
- Respecting and trusting in the camp experience, while being an asset and an advocate for the program to assist the campers in having the best possible experience.

Expectations of the Logistics Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Exercise extreme care in all interpersonal relationships involving staff members and campers
- Model professional verbal communication skills with Admin, Cabin Staff, and Greek Staff
- Excel under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Possess the ability to work independently behind the scenes
- Be able to take direction and constructive criticism
