The Ionian Village Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all logistical systems are in place, as well as keeping track of all the logistical duties. The Logistics Coordinator possess the following qualities and talents; they are the reason people count on them to create and maintain professional, impeccable, well-organized environments at camp:

Job Description

Before Camp

 

Training

Participate in training conference calls (2-3 throughout April-May).

 

Manual

Thoroughly read and review the Logistics Coordinator manual.

 

During Camp

 

Supplies

Direct the unpacking of camp supplies.

 

Prepare

Ensure supplies for each day are prepared well in advance.

 

Set-Up

Manage the physical set-up of all-camp activities (Free Wim, FLEXTIVITIES, Evening Activities)

 

Organize

Organize and maintain supplies of camp in the various storage spaces.

 

Inventory

Oversee and complete pre-camp inventory and appropriately distribute camp supplies.

 

Impeccablility

Maintain impeccability of Ionian Village environment.

 

Support

Provide support to the Cabin and Senior Staff in the execution of daily camp activities

 

Arrival/Departure

Support Senior Staff with preparations for camper arrival day and departure day.

 

Travel Days

Assist with logistics of travel days.

 

Camp Breakdown

 

Inventory

Complete post-camp inventory and communicate next year logistical needs to Senior Staff.

 

Supplies

Oversee the packing of camp supplies alongside the Senior Staff

 

Storage

Direct the storage of all supplies in designated storage unit.

 

Job Requirements

 

Education

Must have graduated from High school in 2016 or earlier, with a diploma or GED

 

Experience

Previous Ionian Village experience desired but not mandatory (e.g. employee or camper).

 

Communication

Professional in your written and verbal communication.

 

License

Possess a valid driver’s license.

 

Discretion

Should possess the ability to work independently behind the scenes.

 

Rapport

Ability to build rapport through your leadership.

 

Fitness

Able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Attend all Senior Staff and nightly meetings.

Summer Availability

Available during summer for placement (June through mid-August 2018).
